Philanthropy warms the world.
We are a small business that thrives because of you.
Like many businesses and individuals we believe it is our responsibility to give back to our communities and world.
Not only is it our responsibility – it is also our pleasure. In living a life of gratefulness it is only natural to delight in helping others who have not been so fortunate.
It staggers the mind to think that two thirds of the world’s inhabitants live on half-a-bowl of rice each day.
We contribute through donating time, money and sponsorships.
Here are just a few of the organizations we have been proud to assist personally or through our business over the years:
St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
American Cancer Society
Butlerville Elementary School
The Summit Country Day School
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Susan G. Komen
Make a Wish Foundation
Hoxworth Blood Center
Saint Columban Parish
Saint Phillip’s Parish
Mount Notre Dame High School

The list goes on and on because the opportunities to help others are endless.
If you don’t have money to donate most organizations would love something even more valuable than that – your time.
We hope our everyday ideas in philanthropy will inspire you.
As we do what we normally do to share our time and money with others we will try to make you aware of opportunities for giving.
Our hope is that by spreading the word more people will be able to find the time to give as well :).
We also look for ways that you can give without really spending extra money or time.
For instance, $1 goes to Make A Wish Foundation for every Eden’s Angel sold.
The Good Bead Company, maker of our Bauble Lulu beads, continually donates monies to charity. Hence the name The Good Bead.
In some cases simply by buying a gift at our shop you are contributing through our vendor as well as through us.
